Statics and carousels

A carousel has to earn each swipe, and the reason to continue lives in the last line of every card.

Built for
carousels abandoned at card two, captions carrying the whole ad, swipes that go unearned and testimonials dumped in any order.
The short version

Is this for you? For the carousel abandoned at card two and the caption doing all the work the image should. A carousel is read in order and dropped at the first card that does not pay for the swipe. Not if a single image already says the whole thing; a carousel is worth building only where the idea genuinely needs a sequence.

What leaves your plate. The claim carried by the image rather than explained by the copy, every card built to open the next, and testimonials sequenced into an argument instead of dumped in whatever order they arrived.

What starts working. Statics that stop a thumb, and carousels people actually reach the last card of.

The smallest way in. A free audit: three fields, and a written reading back, usually within about three working days. It commits you to nothing.

What to read next. The five levels to see where this fits, or the casework to see it done.

The image carries the claim, the last line earns the swipe

The image carries the claim

On a feed a single idea carried by the image registers before any caption is read, so where the value is something you can show, the image proves it and the words are a caption; if the copy has to explain what the picture is showing, the picture is not working. Where the value is a claim or a number, a price, a hard statistic, a named guarantee, the words carry it and the image backs them up.

Every card has to earn the next one

A carousel is read in order and abandoned at the first card that does not pay. So the second card is designed against the first: it answers what the first one raised, and it opens something the third one closes.

Social proof is sequenced into an argument

Five reviews in a grid is a wall. The same five arranged so each one answers a different objection is an argument, and it is the same five reviews.

Statics are variant work too

The same discipline as video: one variable at a time, angles from research, and a set the buyer can learn from rather than a single beautiful file.

What a static costs when it is wrong

The design is the cheap part. A static that misses still runs, and it spends real money finding out, because a media budget does not pause while somebody works out whether card two earned its swipe. That is why the variants exist and the comparison is built in: the expensive mistake is not a weak layout, it is a weak layout with spend behind it that nobody caught until the report.

Composition for a feed, inside the brand's own rules

Composition built for a feed

A single subject that still reads when the feed shrinks it, contrast decided for a phone held in daylight rather than a monitor in a dark room, and text sized for the frame it will actually appear in. Every one of those is a decision about the platform, not about taste.

Built to the brand's own rules

Type, colour and grade come from the partner's written rules, so the ad reads as the brand's own rather than as a layout with a logo dropped into it.

A well designed card is not what moves a thumb sideways; a card that left something unfinished is.

A finished card gives the thumb permission to leave.

What changes for you

Statics that stop a thumb, and carousels people actually reach the end of.

Send what is running and we will read it as an ad account, not a showreel: angles, variants and where spend is leaking. The reading comes back in writing.

A quick fit check

Request your free audit.

Three fields, and a written reading back: a fit snapshot, two or three prioritised opportunities, and a recommended next step.

A bare domain, a full URL or a channel link.
Received. We reply in writing, usually within three working days.
That did not send. Try once more, or write to us instead.

A person reads the channel and writes the audit by hand: a considered read typically takes three working days. That is the usual shape, not a promised turnaround. We use these details only to reply to you: no lists, no lurking.

What you will get

A fit snapshot: where your channel stands, and whether we are a match.

Two to three opportunities: specific, prioritised, yours to keep.

A recommended next step, even if that step is not us.

The audit is free and commits you to nothing: nobody follows up with a call you did not ask for.

The casework shows all of this done.

The case studies are the same work with the numbers, the sources and the dates attached.
